Synopsis
Sexual politics, passion … and love?

A beleaguered mother refuses to marry off her desirable youngest daughter, Bianca, until her shrewish eldest, Kate, has found a match. Enter Petruchio, who has “come to wive it wealthily in Padua.”

Shakespeare's controversial comedy has been criticized for generations as a story of a spirited woman's subjugation, but guest director Linda Johnson's modern-day production presents the union between Kate and Petruchio as one of love, passion, joy and mutual respect discovered in the distinct but complementary natures of men and women.

Synopsis
Murder, rape, war, insanity, and revenge. For starters …

Roman general Titus Andronicus struggles with the adjustment from wartime to peacetime as the violence he perpetrated comes back to haunt him and shake the very foundations of Rome.

Featuring Tarantino-esque quantities of violence, occasionally rising (or descending) to the level of black humor. In the words of one reviewer, “5.2 atrocities per act, or one for every 97 lines …”
