Synopsis In this fast-paced and imaginative
touring production of A
Midsummer Night’s Dream, the focus is on a group of comic
players who are getting a play ready for a Duke’s wedding and
the magical hijinks that threaten to derail the performance!
Colorful fairies and air-headed lovers disrupt their rehearsals
and their lead actor is magically transformed into a donkey!
Will they be able to get the show together in time?
To facilitate touring, the play has been edited down to run
about 50 minutes, and will be performed by a cast of four
experienced actors playing multiple roles and makes use of
minimal costumes, props, and set, putting the emphasis instead
on the magic of Shakespeare’s language and the comedy of his
characters.
